Field Operations Supervisor Karl Conklin

Karl replacing the Ponderosa Hydroelectric facility's Chesterton Seal.

Mr. Conklin has lived on his family's farmstead near Tumalo, here in our district, since 1986. As Field Operations Supervisor, he provides field review of subdivision proposals, development activities, helps develop capital improvement projects, manages planning and implementation of all maintenance to district infrastructure, and is responsible for field staff and water deliveries. Karl is a true jack of all trades.

Karl and his wife Kim have a grown son, Kyle. Karl is a native Oregonian, has completed courses in business and computer science at OSU, and is a natural, self taught engineer. He has a background that includes 12 years as a business owner and 7 years in construction and construction management. He has irrigated his own 50 acre farm here in the district for many years. Karl works closely with the General Manager to implement policy, protect and improve District field assets, and mitigate against field-based liabilities.
