Our District is governed by a three person board of directors. Director positions are staggered, three year terms. Directors may serve multiple terms if re-elected. Directors set the policy, assessments, and oversee the general financial health of the District. Directors take full fiscal responsibility for the District, approve the annual budget, and authorize indebtedness for short and long term economic viability of the District and the common good it serves. The Board is the District's ultimate authority for establishing water law and policy within the District and resolving any major conflicts beyond the General Manager's authority. Serving on the Board is a serious commitment and it is recommended that those interested in running for the Board attend and participate in several board meetings in order to learn about the legal requirements and business operations of the District.
