Mr. Gant has been a self-employed business owner in Central Oregon since 1976. He has a lifetime of experience in irrigated farming.  After retiring from operating a 312-acre farm in Prineville, Dennis came back to Bend and the home he built (in 1978) where he and his wife Sherrie developed the land into a productive horse farm. Dennis and Sherrie have been Swalley patrons since 1978.

Over the years, Dennis has been active in the community serving on the Board at Tumalo Community Church and with Deschutes County 4-H, teaching classes to the community on Managing Small Acreage and Irrigation, in addition to helping manage horse fair and other local and State activities.
